Project Officer – Lokori/Lokichar

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • A first degree in social sciences/humanities or any other elated “field” from a reputable institution of higher learning
  • At least 3 years of experience work within the NGO sector or educational institutions
  • Ability to mobilize diverse groups of community members
  • Experience in advocacy, partnership-building and networking
  • Strong facilitation skills including familiarity with training in participatory methods and excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Experience with monitoring and evaluation and capacity to produce quality, timely reports
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with significant experience of working with children
  • Commitment to human/children’s rights and an understanding of rights-based approaches; and the application of the same
  • Ability to effectively manage time.
  • Certificate of Good Conduct

Project Officer – Nairobi

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • A first degree in gender and education or other social sciences or any other related field which includes a significant element of gender technical content from a reputable institution of higher learning
  • At least 3 years of experience working within the NGO sector or educational institutions
  • Ability to mobilize diverse groups of community members and stakeholders
  • Experience in advocacy, partnership-building and networking, approaches to gender mainstreaming, capacity development programs, approaches to improving learning outcomes, and resource mobilization.
  • Strong facilitation skills including familiarity with training in participatory methods and excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Experience with monitoring and evaluation and capacity to produce quality, timely reports
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with significant experience of working with children
  • Commitment to human/children’s rights and an understanding of rights-based approaches; and the application of the same

Project Assistant

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • A first degree in social sciences/humanities or any other elated “field” from a reputable institution of higher learning
  • At least 2 years of experience working within the NGO sector or educational institutions
  • Ability to mobilize diverse groups of community members

Finance Officer

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Commerce (Finance Option)
  • CPA(K) professional qualification
  • 5 years of experience in the NGO Sector.
  • Commitment to human/children’s rights; and the application of the same.

Logistician/Driver

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • Valid, current driving license with a clean driving record (no accidents).
  • 5 years’ experience driving professionally; experience in mechanics desired.
  • Have completed Secondary school education.
  • Good command of the English language
  • Prior experience working with NGO
  • Computer skills and knowledge are an added advantage.
  • Defensive driving training is an added advantage
  • Good working knowledge of all Turkana and major local road networks and city streets will be an advantage
  • Certificate of Good Conduct
  • Commitment to human/children’s rights; and the application of the same
