South East Asia and Pacific Multi-Country Office (EAPMCO)
The South East Asia and Pacific Multi-Country Office (EAPMCO) supports, develops, and oversees the UNOPS portfolio of projects in South East Asia and the Pacific.
EAPMCO was established in January 2023 following the merger of:
- Thailand Multi-Country Office, which covered 20 countries across North East Asia, South East Asia, and the Pacific
- Cambodia Multi-Country Office, which covered 4 countries in South East Asia, specifically Cambodia, Lao PDR, Vietnam, and the Philippines
EAPMCO currently operates across 24 countries in North East Asia, South East Asia, and the Pacific, with its head office in Bangkok. It comprises nine business units:
- EAPMCO Thailand
- EAPMCO Indonesia
- EAPMCO Pacific Operations Cluster
- EAPMCO Papua New Guinea
- EAPMCO China
- EAPMCO Vietnam
- EAPMCO Philippines
- EAPMCO Mekong

The Multi-Country Office Head Office in Bangkok provides strategic direction, operational support, delivery oversight, and quality assurance across all locations. It is also responsible for managing the country portfolio of engagements.

Project Information
Under the supervision of the Project Manager, multiple projects will be managed under this portfolio, including:
1. The Climate Village Project/ Program Kampung Iklim (PROKLIM)
- Led by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry of Indonesia (MOEF) since 2012
- Encourages community resilience, GHG reduction, and sustainable livelihoods
- UNOPS will expand PROKLIM’s coverage and enhance sustainable livelihood activities
- Funded by Temasek Foundation
- Implementation in 100 villages across 10 districts in South Sumatra
2. Global Pulse Asia Pacific
- The UN Secretary-General’s Innovation Lab
- Specializes in data, digital expertise, foresight, and behavioral science
- Focus on humanitarian response, climate resilience, and digital transformation
- Aims to accelerate sustainable development goals (SDGs)
3. DISHA – Data Insights for Social & Humanitarian Action
- Managed by UNOPS and the Executive Office of the Secretary-General (EOSG)
- Brings together UN agencies, private sector, public, and social sector partners
- Develops data and AI products as digital public goods (DPGs)
- Initial focus on natural disaster response and recovery
4. UNEP Timor-Leste Project
- 4.5-year initiative
- Supports UNEP in procurement, supply, installation, and commissioning
- Tasks include procurement processes, awarding suppliers, monitoring production and delivery, overseeing customs clearance, and installation
Job Description
UNOPS EAPMCO may hire multiple Programme Management Trainees for its Indonesia office. Trainees will report to the Project Manager, providing general guidance and supervision in programme preparation and management across all stages to achieve project results.
Depending on project requirements, the incumbent may be based in Jakarta or Palembang (South Sumatra).
