The Equal Measures 2030 Storytelling with Data Fellowship 2025 is now open for applications. This fellowship aims to support gender advocates in transforming gender data into compelling narratives that drive policy change and advocacy. The fellowship will provide participants with the tools and skills to use data as an advocacy tool, combining storytelling with insights from the 2024 SDG Gender Index to create engaging content such as blogs, videos, podcasts, infographics, and more.

Duration: Six months (April – September 2025)

Time Commitment: 120-180 hours over six months (approximately 5-8 hours per week)

Stipend: $500, paid in two installments:

50% at the start of the fellowship after onboarding

50% upon successful submission of final outputs

Fellowship Structure
The fellowship is structured into four key phases:

Onboarding (April 1, 2025): Introduction to the 2024 SDG Gender Index and identification of regional gender data stories.

Mentorship & Training (April – May 2025): Hands-on workshops and one-on-one guidance on narrative building, data visualization, and audience engagement.

Storytelling Production (June – August 2025): Development of blogs, videos, infographics, podcasts, and interactive media.

Dissemination & Amplification (September 2025): Publishing and promotion of storytelling outputs through EM2030 platforms, advocacy reports, and global campaigns.
Eligibility Criteria

Gender advocates, activists, storytellers, journalists, or media professionals passionate about using data to advance gender equality.

Open to individuals from Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), Asia, and Africa.

Ability to commit 5-8 hours per week over the fellowship duration.
Outputs
Each fellow will create two storytelling pieces in a format of their choice, such as blogs, infographics, videos, podcasts, or social media campaigns. Collaboration across regions is encouraged to highlight shared gender challenges globally.
