The Constitutional Court of South Africa is now accepting applications for its 2026 Law Clerk Program. This prestigious program offers law graduates and final-year law students the opportunity to work alongside some of the country’s top legal experts, contributing to shaping constitutional law.

Responsibilities
Law Clerks will primarily be responsible for carrying out legal research for their respective Justice. They will also assist in the preparation of judgments, opinions, and other legal documents.
Eligibility Criteria

Education: Possess a Matric plus an LLB degree or a four-year legal qualification (or an equivalent or post-graduate degree) or be in the final year of study for such a degree.

Interest: Display an interest in subjects relating to constitutional law.

Citizenship: All applicants must be South African citizens.

An example of written work (6-12 pages) demonstrating critical legal analysis, authored solely by the applicant.

Salary
The salary for these contract positions is R444,036.00 per annum plus 37% in lieu of benefits.
