Kenya Power and Lighting Company, commonly referred to as Kenya Power or shortened KPLC, is a public liability company which transmits, distributes and retails electricity to customers throughout Kenya.

Kenya Power is inviting applications for industrial attachment opportunities for students pursuing various technical and non-technical disciplines. This program provides valuable hands-on experience and exposure to a real work environment, helping students develop essential skills in their respective fields.
The attachment will run for a maximum period of three (3) months, from May to July 2025.

Eligibility Requirements:
To qualify, applicants must:
✅ Be available for the entire three-month duration (May – July 2025).
✅ Be a continuing student pursuing a Degree, Diploma, or Craft Certificate in a recognized institution in one of the specified fields.
✅ Have a valid introduction letter from their respective learning institution confirming their status as students.
Available Fields of Attachment:
Kenya Power is offering attachment opportunities in the following fields:
1. Technical & Non-Technical (Bachelor’s Degree & Diploma)
Students pursuing degrees or diplomas in technical and non-technical disciplines will have the opportunity to gain practical skills and experience in various departments within the company.
2. Electrical & Electronics Engineering (Power Option)
Students in this field will gain hands-on experience in electrical systems, power distribution, transmission networks, and maintenance of electrical infrastructure.
3. Mechanical/Automotive Engineering
This attachment will focus on mechanical and automotive systems, including maintenance and repair of machinery, power generation equipment, and fleet management.
4. Building & Civil Engineering
Students in this category will gain exposure to infrastructure projects, construction management, structural design, and civil engineering aspects related to power distribution.
5. Plumbing
This opportunity is ideal for students pursuing plumbing and water systems training, offering practical experience in water supply systems and related infrastructure.
