Branch Manager (Mombasa)
- Our client, a tier 3 bank seeks to hire a Branch Manager. He/she will be responsible for managing the branch to achieve growth and profitability through sales and business development activities, best in class customer service to customers to maximize relationship building so as to achieve the bank strategy to “grow market share by building our reputation as an efficient, innovative and customer centric enterprise bank”
JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT / POSITION OBJECTIVE
- To develop, manage and implement branch and annual business growth planfor both deposits and lending.
- To manage staff and implement polices related to the bank.
- Develop and implement branch annual business growth plan (deposits & lending)
- Maximize incomecollection streams to achieve targets set for each income stream.
- Ensure all revenue due to the bank is duly collected with zero income leakage.
- Manage operational costs within budget.
- Budget preparation and monitoring to ensure availability of adequate resources to optimize branch business operations.
- Efficient maintenance and optimum use of bank resources and assets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure branch services meet organizations operational and service delivery standards.
- Ensure budgets and revenue collection are made according to the budget estimates.
- Develop and implement branch annualbusiness growth plan (deposits & lending).
- Maximize income collection streams to achieve set targets set for each income stream

Operational Roles
- Oversee day to day office administration-opening/closing/arming/disarming
- Joint custodian of safe and vault
- Maintain checks and controls for all areas of responsibility to ensure operational standards are in place all the time
- Ensure efficient quality customer service delivery in all departments within the branch
- Signing vouchers and authorization of all batches/limits with appropriate approvals
- Ensure security of bank assets
- Authorization of new accounts and closure of accounts
- Supervision of branch staff
- Submission of returns/statements
- Authorization of expenditure vouchers
- Custody of documentary collection
- Custody of loan documents
- Safe custody of daily vouchers
- Counter signing of all letters/communication from the branch both internally and externally
POSITION DIMENSIONS
- Maintain profitability of the branch to agreed targets
- Ensure accounts opened at the branch are operations and have a set target agreed during budget approvals.
MONETARY RESPONSIBILITY
- Approve spending as per approval limits (if any)
- Joint custodian of safe and vault

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATIONS
- Minimum Bachelors’ degree from a reputable university. Master’s degree/ other professional qualification will be an added advantage.
- Over 10 years is banking and business management
- Candidates born and raised in Mombasa will be highly desirable.
- Skills & Knowledge: Bank Management; Credit; Budget Preparations; Customer Service; Public Relations
- Personal Attributes: Integrity; Good communication skills; Good Conduct; Courteous
